Alternative ways of acquiring knowledge and criticising the existing socio-political status quo can be traced in the spatial installation Future Shores (2021).

The installation leads visitors through a world of dreams, riddles and mathematics. Paustian's work focuses on the life and work of Velimir Khlebnikov, a Russian futurist, poet and mathematician who believed he had discovered a method with which he could predict historical events, and hereby prevent future wars and catastrophes.
